Approved Continuing Education Provider
The organizations featured below have designated the Wellness Alliance (National Wellness Institute + WELCOA) as an approved provider of continuing education or have pre-approved individual educational programs for continuing education credit.
Pre-approval differs for each educational activity. Refer to the CEC Approval Chart for the number and types of CECs that are pre-approved for each course or event. Programs must begin within the approval dates noted on the chart to be eligible for CECs. If an activity is not pre-approved for the type of credit you require, you may petition your certifying body. Acceptance of activities that do not have pre-approval status is at the discretion of the certifying body.
CWP: Certified Wellness Practitioners (CWP) may earn NWI Category 1 CECs through participation in Wellness Alliance courses and events and through other educational programs pre-approved by the Council on Wellness Certification Excellence (CWCE). HRCI®: HR Certification Institute’s® (www.HRCI.org) official seal confirms that National Wellness Institute meets the criteria for pre-approved recertification credit(s) for any of HRCI’s eight credentials, including SPHR® and PHR®.
NCHEC (CHES®/MCHES®): NWI is a designated provider of Category I continuing education contact hours (CECH) in health education by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. Provider ID#:100859 | Note: Only select NWI educational programs and Summit sessions are approved for advanced-level CECH or for Continuing Competency (CC) CECH.
SHRM: National Wellness Institute is recognized by SHRM to offer Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for the SHRM-CPSM or SHRM-SCPSM. For more information about certification or recertification, please visit shrmcertification.org
NBHWC: The National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching (NBHWC) approves courses for the continuing education and training of National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coaches (NBC-HWC). The NWI CEC Approval Chart will indicate programs that are approved for NBC-HWC continuing education.
