Health and Wellness Coaching Certificate

A partnership between the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and the National Wellness Institute

As a health and wellness coach, you will guide individuals during their transformative journey of achieving lasting changes and enhanced well-being by helping them overcome hurdles, surpass limitations and tap into their own unrealized personal and professional potential.

NBHWC Approved Training Program

The National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching has qualified the UW-Stevens Point and National Wellness Institute Health and Wellness Coaching Certificate program as an Approved Transition Program per the NBHWC’s standards. As a result, health and wellness coaches who have met NBHWC’s requirements and completed UWSP’s Health and Wellness Coaching Certificate Program will qualify to sit for the national exam to become a certified coach.

The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point is considered the birthplace of wellness, establishing the first college degree wellness program in the world. UW-Stevens Point became the first degree program in the U.S. to be accredited by the National Wellness Institute in 2010. The National Wellness Institute was founded at UW-Stevens Point and they still maintain a close relationship.
